MONSTER MARCH 2020
Hey Fam! This week on the blog we hear from Wee Wild Ones (WWO), an inquiry-based childcare facility in Calgary that promotes exploration and learning through play, nature, and movement.
We know you love supporting local as much as we do, so we’re excited to share a chance to get active and uplift members of our community. This October, Wee Wild Ones presents its fourth annual Monster March for the Children’s Cottage Society. The Monster March began as a way for kids to help kids. Previously held in St. Patrick’s Island, families at Wee Wild Ones’ centres would gather for a 3km walk, raising funds for families in need, while spending quality time together exploring our beautiful city.
COVID-19 has heavily impacted the non-profit space, causing many much-needed fundraising events to postpone or cancel this year. With need for services at the Children’s Cottage Society on the rise, the Wee Wild Ones team was determined to March Onwards. This became the inspiration for MONSTER MONTH.
Together, with friends from all over YYC, WWO hopes to raise $50,000 for the Children’s Cottage Society throughout October.
So, how do you get involved?
