We partnered with Trellis Society to create a limited edition t-shirt that does more than look good. The pre-sale is live until May 24th, it's been a beautiful success, and we want to take a moment to tell you who Trellis is and why this one matters to us.
Who Is Trellis Society?
Trellis Society provides wraparound housing, mental health, social and community services for people from all backgrounds, including those with complex needs. Based in Calgary, they work across five connected service areas, Housing Support and Shelter, Children and Youth Programming, Parenting Support, Culture and Community, and Therapy and Wellness.
The numbers behind their work are striking. In 2024-2025 alone, Trellis served 6,289 individuals and their natural supports, created 38,563 moments of connection and support through outreach and community engagement, and helped 509 families out of homelessness. These aren't abstract statistics. These are Calgary families. Calgary kids. Calgary neighbours.
Their mission is simple but powerful: to grow a community where everyone can flourish. And everything they do, from emergency shelter to therapy to cultural programming, is in service of that idea.
The Design: Grow Together
The Trellis T-Shirt features an original illustration created specifically for this collaboration, with the words "Grow Together" at the base. It felt right from the moment we saw it.
A trellis is a structure that helps things grow. That's not just their name, it's their entire philosophy. Given the right support, the right environment, and the right community around them, people flourish. The design captures that beautifully, and wearing it is a small but real way to carry that message into the world.
How Your Purchase Helps
Every shirt sold donates $10 directly to Trellis Society, supporting the programs that provide housing, mental health services, and community support for children, youth and families across Calgary and Strathmore. The pre-sale model means every single unit ordered gets produced, no waste, no excess, just impact.

This collaboration is part of Local Laundry's mission to donate $1 million to Canadian causes by 2030. We've raised nearly $400,000 since we started, through pre-sale fundraisers, our Giving Garments™ program, and silent auctions at community events. Every campaign gets us closer.
