Meraki is a Greek Verb meaning to do something with soul, creativity, and love; to put something of yourself into your work. With Meraki Supply Co, my objective is to work with local brands and companies who put Meraki into everything that they do!
The Community
Having Meraki located in the heart of the Kensington community is a crucial aspect to what we're all about. With a strong support for locally owned and operated businesses, it was a no brainer to open up in this unique neighbourhood. With hangout spots like The Roasterie, Oak Tree Tavern, Sunnyside Market, Crave Cupcakes, and many others, it's hard not to fall in love with Kensington and the people of the community! There's a great bond between the businesses and a great amount of support for each other that makes this whole experience so much more worth it.
Partnership
Since day one I knew we had something special with Local Laundry. They're incredibly driven to inspire, to help the community, and to genuinely grow/expand their project into something amazing! The impact they've made on Calgary in the last year is truly an inspiration and we're so glad to be along for the ride. We've had the opportunity to watch the brand continue to evolve through some amazing growth and we don't see them slowing down anytime soon! It's quickly become a staple on our shelves and in everyone's wardrobe. We can't wait to see what Connor and Dustin have in store next!
Where We're Headed
Here at Meraki Supply Co. we are excited for the upcoming holiday season that is soon approaching. The extra stock will be rolling in and we're looking forward for the people of Calgary to head on down to pick up their favourite Local Laundry gear! We've also got product from other great YYC brands such as Calgary Heritage Roasting Co Coffee, Camp Brand Goods, Alberta Branded, Alberta Apparel, Alto Collective, Needle and Pine, Mother Co, Treeline Outdoors, The Woods Adventure Co, Adrian Martinus Handmade Goods, and Camp & City - shout out to all of our local suppliers! This winter we will be doing a collaboration with Bark YYC and Local Laundry in support of a local dog shelter and we're really excited to let you all know the details soon! So swing on by Meraki Supply Co this Fall/Winter for everything local!
