Made with 80% Organic Cotton / 20% Recycled Polyester this fleece Shacket is designed to keep you warm and cozy on even the chilliest days. Named after the Bow River, which flows through the Rocky Mountains, this piece is as rugged as the mountainous terrain it's named after.

Spring walks, Summer camp fires, Fall hikes, or Winter layers. No matter the season, the Bow River Shacket has got you covered.

We could make our clothing cheaper.

But then we would need to replace our premium fabrics with material that's milled and dyed overseas using toxic chemicals, utilize factories that subject their workers to unsafe working conditions and below poverty wages, and ultimately produce a product that would only last a few wears before ending up in the landfill.

We're not interested in making cheaper clothing. It's not good for you, for the workers involved in the process, or for our planet.

Instead, we choose to make our all of our products responsibly here in Canada, adhering to strict labour and environmental regulations using high quality fabrics and materials all while giving back to community. This results in a higher quality product that is built to last years, instead of months, all while contributing to a better community, and a better planet.

This garment is made from 100% organic cotton.

This piece is a Pre-Sale item and will go into production after the Pre-Sale is complete. Production takes 4-5 weeks and shipping takes 1-2 weeks after Pre-Sale is complete.

Your favourite hoodie as a shirt

Same comfortable, warm material as your favourite hoodie, just made up into a shirt / jacket. I find that I rarely if ever use the hood of any of my hoodies. I’ve been using full zip hoodies more and more for ease of temperature regulation. This shaket looks better than a hoodie for work but is easily as warm and comfortable.

So cozy!

I loved mine and got so many compliments on it, I just had to get it for my boyfriend - now he can be cozy too!

Great purchase

I wanted to share my positive experience with the shacket I recently purchased from Local Laundry. I've been on the lookout for a high-quality Canadian jacket for quite some time, and this one really impressed me.

It met several key criteria I had for the perfect purchase: it's high-quality, made in Canada by a small business that supports its local community, not a fast-fashion item, crafted with natural fibers and recycled materials, stylish, and reasonably priced.

Thank you for offering such a wonderful product.

Shaggy little shacket

Okay, that title may be a little misleading. It is not shaggy! It is a sweet little overcoat. The insulation on it and overall length on it keeps me warm and stylish. Being a mountain girly, I will be hiking in this as much as possible. Highly recommend! (Not me planning to spend another $300……..)

Anti-fast Fashion

We work with family run manufacturing partners here in Canada to produce responsible garments. The end result is a garment that is built to last years, rather than months. It also means a better result for the planet thanks to strict Canadian environmental and labour laws.
