FAQs - Bamboo Healthcare Garments

THANK YOU! Without the support of you, our amazing community, we wouldn’t be able to continue to build community, create clothing for a cause and contribute efforts to the greater good and wellbeing of our fellow Canadians.

Your purchase of our Canadian Made Bamboo Healthcare garments helps to support healthcare workers on the front lines. It also fuels the Canadian supply chain by supporting our Canadian manufacturers, production and warehousing teams in addition to supporting us as a small local business. Current updates on our Bamboo Healthcare garments:

The first batch of Bamboo Healthcare garments has officially gone into production! If you ordered by or before April 21st, 2020 your Zip-Up or T-shirt (or both) are currently in production. If you ordered after April 21st your garment will be included in our second production batch!

Our team is pushing to send out customer orders as quickly as possible and aim to have garments delivered within the next 3-4 weeks. Our number one goal is to keep as consistent and transparent communication as possible and always under-promise, yet over-deliver!

Canada Post is currently experiencing processing delays due to higher volumes and focuses on ensuring employees are working safely, including adherence to physical distancing measures, while also responding to short-term staffing challenges. Delays experienced could be up to 3-5 business days. While we are working to have our customer orders produced and delivered as quickly as possible, orders may be delayed due to Canada Post and which at that point is out of our hands. However, we’re doing everything possible to bring your package to your doorstep.

FAQs:

When is presale over?

Presale will continue to run in batches. The first batch of Zip-Ups & T-shirts just went into production with the second batch on deck! If you ordered by or before April 21st your order is going into production if you ordered after April 21st your order will be in the second production batch.

When will I receive my Bamboo Healthcare Zip-Up/T-shirt?

If you ordered before April 21st, the bamboo garments will be sent out in 5-6 weeks from now, barring any delay in our domestic production due to shutdowns due to COVID19 and the safety of those who make our garments here in Canada. We are pushing and doing our best to get them out sooner to you, with the changing world we want to under-promise and over-deliver!

If you ordered after April 21st, 2020 your bamboo garment will be produced in the next production batch. We will let you know when our Canadian manufacturer can get them in the production queue. If you ordered anything else along with your zip-up like a toque, hat, or crewneck, those garments will arrive with your zip-up.

Can I only purchase a Bamboo Healthcare Zip-Up/T-shirt online?

Yes, unfortunately, the zip-ups are not available to our wholesalers. The Bamboo Cotton Healthcare Zip-Up/T-shirt is available on our website here. There you will find a sizing chart with all the fit information.

        What is bamboo cotton?

This zip-up is made from Bamboo Cotton from Rayon. Bamboo does not require fertilizers or pesticides for cultivation and it grows rapidly and profusely without depleting the soil. Bamboo has a lower environmental impact than pesticide-laden conventional cotton and petroleum-derived nylon and polyester fabrics. Bamboo is also a superior fabric in terms of softness and functionality. Bamboo is inherently moisture wicking and anti-bacterial. Basically, bacteria can't stick as easily to this bad boy.

Is the Bamboo Healthcare Zip-Up/T-shirt made in Canada?

Oh, heck YAS it is! Everything we produce is dyed, knitted, cut, sewn, printed right here in Canada adhering to strict Canadian labour and environmental laws. Everyone who produces our garments is paid a living wage with benefits and are integral to supporting a diversified Canadian economy. That's also why this garment is a little more on the pricier side.

Are there any other charities Local Laundry is donating to?

We're always looking to support other Canadian charities, especially during these trying times. If there is another charity or not-for-profit contributing to COVID19 in other cities that we should donate to, please let us know!
