Last week we got to catch up with @mchap12 and @tchap12 from@yycstudiorevolution and we asked Mal to take part in our #WHYYC campaign and this is what she had to say about #YYC"Calgary is a hub for creatives. Calgary incubates some of the best ideas, places, and people I’ve ever come across. My husband and I have explored a lot of wonderful places on this planet and I’m happy to call this amazing city my home. Living an active healthy lifestyle but also loving to indulge in beautiful food, coffee and wine I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. WHY wouldn’t I love Calgary….. The very place that welcomed me from out of Province and fostered my curious entrepreneurial spirit...
Meet Haley Haley Daniels. She's this weeks #WHYYC . As an extreme white water athlete, future Olympian, and all around bad ass. Here's what Haley has to say about #YYC : "I have been a Calgarian for life and proud of it. With some of the worlds most beautiful mountains and rivers at our finger tips the more and more I travel the more I realize that I love where we live. With long summer nights and brightly lit winters it makes for an adventurers paradise. YYC represent!" #WHYYC - asking Calgarians what makes Calgary so special to them. Spencer owner of @stuff4him : "I love Calgary. It’s a young city but with history. Cosmopolitan with a “down home” friendliness. There’s the mountains, the Stampede, and Mayor @nenshi . And to top it all off more and more Calgarians are now lifers that are in it for the long haul making the city and the people very resilient. I can’t imagine calling somewhere else home. I’m very proud to be a Calgarian." Check out more at his shop located at 102, 709 11 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2R 0E3 Twitter: @Stuff4Him Instagram: @Stuff4Him
What makes you love #YYC? Quinn Wilton, Founder of @thewellbrewing says: "Why not YYC is a better question! The city is so vibrant, we are so much more then an oil and gas town. We have a thriving local music and arts scene, we are at the door steps of the Rocky Mountains (one of the most beautiful places in the world in my opinion) and the community is so caring. I heard the saying, Calgary is the worlds biggest small town and I couldn't agree more. Everyone makes this an awesome place to live."
